On May 15, 2001 I installed the LG-X 200 in my Pearson 390 yacht, which as a Perkins 4108, 40 HP engine. The engine is 29 years old and within the last two years has suffered from contaminated diesel fuel, which I must have picked up in one of our local island fuel pumps. The contamination consisted of a jelly-like substance, which clogged up my filters, eventually shutting down my engine.

I have just returned from a 300-mile trip and have observed that my Racor primary filter is clear of any discoloration whatsoever. Furthermore, there is no soot on the transom where the exhaust comes out. I normally used to have to clean this soot off after every trip.

I can only say the Algae-X unit with AFC-705 Fuel Catalyst has done a miraculous job.
